Die Petal Plates sind eine farbenfrohe Kollektion handgefertigter Teller, die vollständig in NYC hergestellt werden. Sie sind in zwei Größen erhältlich und können einzeln als Serviergeschirr verwendet, zu einem Speiseteller-Set kombiniert oder mit der kleineren Größe kombiniert werden, um auffällige Farbkombinationen oder farbblockierte Paarungen zu schaffen. Sie eignen sich auch wunderbar als dekorative Auffangschalen. Entworfen von Sophie Lou Jacobsen, einer französisch-amerikanischen Designerin mit Sitz in New York City. Diese Teller werden komplett von Hand in NYC hergestellt, gleich die Straße runter von unserem Red Hook Studio. Mit einem Verfahren namens Slumping beginnen wir damit, die Platten aus Keramik von Hand zu formen. Dann wird die Keramikform in Gips gegossen, Glasscheiben werden in einem Ofen erhitzt und über diese Form gelegt. Alle Produkte von Sophie Lou Jacobsen haben den Anspruch, dass sie immer gut kombinierbar sind und ein harmonisches Zusammenspiel ergeben. Available in two sizes, they can be used on their own as serving dishes, combined into a set of dinner plates, or paired with the smaller size to create striking color combinations or color blocked pairings. They also work beautifully as decorative catch all bowls. Designed by Sophie Lou Jacobsen, a French-American designer based in New York City. These plates are entirely made by hand in NYC, just down the street from our Red Hook Studio. Using a process called slumping, we start by hand shaping the plates in ceramic. Then, the ceramic form is cast in plaster, and glass discs are heated in a kiln and slumped over this mold. All Sophie Lou Jacobsen products have the intention that they can always be combined well and that they create a harmonious interaction.
